Appointments

All patient visits are by appointment only. Please call our office to schedule any type of appointment and our front desk staff will accommodate your desired time to the best of our ability. If you are running late or need to reschedule please contact our office as soon as possible.

We will make every effort to see your sick child the same day that you call our office.

We encourage you to schedule your child's NEXT recommended check-up as you are leaving our office.

Patients new to the practice should arrive 20-30 minutes prior to their appointment time.

Please be sure to bring insurance cards and driver's license TO ALL VISITS.

Insurance and Billing

Tots 'n' Teens Pediatrics accepts most commercial insurance plans as well as Medicaid. Please verify that Tots 'n' Teens Pediatrics is part of your insurance plan's network of providers prior to your first appointment with us. For Medicaid please make sure your child has been assigned to one of our providers ( you may call our billing office at 205- 856-4440 ext 6 for help with this.

Bring all insurance cards so the we can file the insurance claims on your behalf and coordinate benefits if your child is covered by more than one plan.

Some insurance companies have begun to offer new plans with a narrow network of providers. As new plans are offered or as new providers join our group, Tots 'n' Teens Pediatrics makes every effort to have all of our providers become in network with these plans. Some plans are no longer allowing new providers to join the network and therefore with some plans you will only be able to see certain providers in our group. We suggest that you review your options carefully before selecting a plan to insure that we can continue to provide care for your children.

After your visit, we will file your insurance and then send you a statement if any balance is owed. Please note some services are not covered in full by your insurance company.

Payment Policies

All co-payments, deductibles and account balances are due before each visit from whomever brings the child into the office. If you do not have insurance, a minimum $100 charge will be collected prior to your visit and you will receive a statement for any remaining balance.

Balances can be paid in person, by calling the office, or online [Make an Online Payment].

Payment options

We accept checks, cash, or credit cards. We also offer flexible payment plans. Please see our Billing Office Staff for details.

Cancellations / No Shows

We request a 24 hour advance notice of appointment cancellations. A $35 fee will be charged for "no-shows". Repeated no shows or last minute cancellations could result in dismissal from the practice.
