Steven D. Barron, M.D.

A native of Louisiana, Dr. Barron received his undergraduate degree from Louisiana Tech University. Dr. Barron is a proud graduate of Louisiana State University School of Medicine where he made the Dean’s List. He completed his training with The LeBonheurs Children’s Medical Center at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Barron is Board Certified in Pediatrics and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He joined Tots 'N' Teens Pediatrics in 1995.


Delinda A. Davis, M.D.  Retired

After growing up in Birmingham, Dr. Delinda Davis attended the University of Virginia in Charlottesville . She then returned to Alabama and received her M.D. degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. After completing her pediatric residency at The Children’s Hospital of Alabama in Birmingham, she joined Dr. Tom Caldwell and established Tots ‘n’ Teens Pediatrics in 1987. She has served as the Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at Baptist Medical Center Montclair and on the Board of Directors of the Jefferson County Pediatric Society. Dr. Davis is board certified in pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Her husband, Jim, is an Internist at UAB Medical Center. They have 2 grown children and have been involved in breeding and showing Siberian huskies for over 25 years. They live on a farm in Ashville Al. In her spare time, she trains her dogs for agility competition and also enjoys needlework and snow skiing.

Dr Davis will be retiring 7/1/2022. Although she will no longer be seeing patients, she will continue to work as a practice management consultant on a very limited basis.


Dr. Anastasia Nelson

Dr. Anastasia Nelson grew up in Riga, Latvia, a small Eastern European Country near the Baltic sea. She moved to the United States at the age of 15 and graduated from high school in Pittsburgh, PA. She then moved to Alabama where she received all of her college and post graduate education. Dr. Nelson completed her undergraduate education at UAB where she graduate Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor degree in Biology. She then received her M.D. degree four years later and completed her residency in Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Alabama. Dr. Nelson is married to Dr. Thomas Nelson and has a toddler daughter named Valentina who is excited about becoming a big sister this summer. Dr. Nelson is a board certified pediatrician who is passionate about preventive care and helping young parents navigate the challenging but exciting journey of parenthood. Dr. Nelson joined Tots N’ teens pediatrics in November 2018 and is currently accepting new patients.


Allison J. Holt, M.D.

A native of Birmingham, Dr. Holt attended Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She graduated Cum Laude from the Emory University School of Medicine. Her Pediatric training was completed at The University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. Dr. Holt is Board Certified in Pediatrics by the American Academy of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She joined Tots 'N' Teens in 2000. She lives in Cherokee Bend with her husband and two daughters.


Elizabeth M. Law, M.D.

Dr. Law is from Ohio where she attended under-graduate school at The University of Dayton and graduated Cum Laude. She went on to attend medical school at The Ohio State University. She completed her Residency & Internship at UAB. Dr. Law is Board Certified in Pediatrics and member of the Alabama Academy of Pediatrics and joined our practice in 2008.


Heather L. Precise, C.R.N.P.

Pediatric nursing has been a career-long commitment for Heather. A nurse practitioner is an advanced practice registered nurse who has completed advanced coursework and clinical education. Heather attended the University of Virginia where she received her BS in Nursing. Her Masters in Nursing was acquired at UAB. She is certified by the National Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and has been with our practice since 1997. Heather works in collaboration with our physicians in performing physical examinations, taking medical histories, ordering tests, performing minor procedures and counseling children and parents.


Erin B. Sorrell, RN, MSN, CPNP-PC

Erin is a dedicated pediatric nurse practitioner with hospital and private practice experience in pediatrics. Erin received her Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. She is experienced with common childhood illnesses and preventive services for newborns, toddlers and teens, and is available for sick and well child visits. She lives with her husband and two young children in Oak Mountain, and enjoys spending her free time with family and traveling.


Olivia LaRussa, CPNP

Olivia LaRussa is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with nursing experience in pediatric pulmonary disease. She attended UAB for her Master’s of Science in Nursing and is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. Olivia joined Tots ‘n’ Teens in 2021. She is available to see sick and well child visits. In her free time, Olivia enjoys spending time outdoors and playing with her two dogs.
